Your decals are off professional, OEM quality, yet still suitable for DIY Installation. As such, we have produced this simple, step-by-step installation guide to help walk you through the process.
Please ensure the the ambient temperature is around 20°C and avoid installing the decal in direct sunlight.
Step 1. You will need...
A water spray, ruler/measuring tape, masking tape, squeegee (a credit card with a piece of cloth wrapped around makes a good substitute), a cloth and a sharp knife.
Remove the decals from the postal tube and allow them to 'un curl'.
Step 2. Thoroughly Clean Surface
Thoroughly clean the surface of the car, removing any wax, grime and grease.
Step 3. Hold in place with masking tape
Align the decal and hold in place with masking tape.
Step 4. Remove back half and spray with water
Remove approx. half the length of the backing paper & discard. At this point, you may spray the surface of the car with water, if required.
*If your decal is produced from 'Air Release' vinyl (see reverse of decal for confirmation), it can usually be installed dry. If you are using the wet installtion method, please ensure water has been fully removed/evapourated before moving on to the next step.
Step 5. Smooth down with squeegee
Using firm pressure, smooth the decal down with a squeegee, squeezing as much water/air out from behind the decal as possible.
Step 6. Repeat for remaining half
Repeat the above process for the remaining half of the decal.
Step 7. Peel away applicator tape slowly
Peel back the applicator tape slowly, at a tight angle (i.e. NOT pulling away from the surface), ensuring the decals remain stuck in place.
Step 8. Slice along panel gaps
Using a sharp knive, slice the decal along the panel gaps.
Step 9. Tuck in excess
Tuck in the excess vinyl, wrapping it around the panels.
Step 10. Stand back and admire!
Stand back and admire your handy work.
Once installed, please only hand wash around the decal and avoid using a hose or pressure washer.
Your decal has been produced from vinyl which is designed to not harm the paintwork of your vehicle, providing that the surface is sound and has not suffered previous damage. However, the installation of the decal is entirely at your own risk and we can not be held responsible for any damage caused to the vinyl or the car's bodywork during the decal installation process, throughout the lifespan of the decal or as a result of removing the decal.
